The Professional Women’s Network of Costa Rica began 12 years ago as an interest group of the Women’s Club of Costa Rica.
The group eventually stepped out on its own as a network where professionals can meet other like-minded women, promote their businesses, and give back to the community.
Today, PWNCR is an active resource for personal and professional development. We offer monthly networking meetings along with webinars and online workshops, and a mentorship program.
To strengthen our community by supporting, empowering & inspiring women in business.
Members’ suggestions and interests are addressed through a wide range of highly qualified speakers who donate their time to teach us about their experiences or new skills for the development of building our own businesses.
Maria Hon, owner of the Restaurant TinJo, graciously lends the PWNCR the use of their beautiful Bamboo Room where we have a monthly meeting. Meetings start at 9:30 and end at 12:00. Attendees then have the option to stay for lunch and continue chatting and networking.
PWNCR welcomes business owners; retired business owners; students and anyone else who is in the pursuit of knowledge on how to better run their business. We also welcome women to join exclusively to make friends or promote their own business.
Although the focus is on professional women, anyone of good moral standing may be a member regardless of their gender, age, culture, race, religion or nationality.
PWNCR is an English-speaking network, though most members speak both English and Spanish. We welcome English students of all levels — our meetings are a great place to practice!
