Sensory Healing Spices Workshop
Join us for this Workshop with Geri Brown, whereyou'll explore how spices like Ginger, Turmeric, andLemongrass can enhance your meals,reduce stress,and improve your health through a hands-ontasting experience.
For the month of April we have prepared an in-person guided tour of the Museo de Arte y Diseño Contemporáneo, MADC (Museum of Contemporary Art and Design in English), which is housed at the Centro Nacional de Cultura (CENAC) in downtown San José (avenida 3, calle 15). Our private tour guide will be renowned Costa Rican artist Florencia Urbina, who will take us through:

Please note that our monthly running costs as an association include Zoom Pro, our email program, accountant retainer fees, social media and website services, etc. We would very much appreciate if you would bring some cash to donate toward these costs. Suggested donations are: 3,000 colones for members, 6,000 colones for non-members. Exact change or bank transfer is appreciated! Also, for non-members, you can become a member at this event!
MADC: 1,800 colones for nationals and residents 6 yo and up. Children under 5 and seniors don’t pay entrance. There are student discounts.
We will walk to Café Mundo in Barrio Amón (3-minute walk). Starters: from 3,800 colones. Pizza & Pasta: from 7,500 colones. Mains: from 8,900 colones. Taxes included.
Florencia Urbina studied visual art as well as Art history in 4 different countries in 3 continents. She has had 70 solo shows and 71 collective exhibitions. She was awarded the national painting award in Costa Rica, Premio Nacional de Pintura Aquileo J. Echeverría, in 2005 and 1992. She has also received 7 other international awards. Florencia is currently working on an installation of her work called RIZZO, which will soon open in downtown San José, Costa Rica.
