Flora Montealegre is a Executive Director at CRUSA and has extensive experience in the field of economic development worldwide, particularly in the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), where for more than two decades she directed private sector development projects and led numerous projects in Latin American and Caribbean countries in the areas of productivity and competitiveness policies; technology and innovation; and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) development.
Flora holds an MBA, Beta Gamma Sigma, from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland; an MA in Latin American Studies and Economic Development from Georgetown University; and a BA in Political Science from Swarthmore College. She also holds graduate degrees in economics and science, technology and innovation policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
Flora has been the Executive Director of the non-profit foundation CRUSA since 2018.
