About The Speaker

Karla Blanco

As LAR Corporate Affairs Director, Karla has been for more than 18 years with Intel. She started at Intel as Customs & Free Trade Zone Specialist in the Finance Department and then moved to Corporate Affairs as the Government Affairs Manager for Costa Rica. Nowadays her responsibilities include corporate social responsibility, education transformation programs, innovation & entrepreneurship for Latin America. Before joining Intel she used to work for the Promotora de Comercio Exterior de Costa Rica (PROCOMER), which is the Free Trade Zone authority.

Ms Blanco has an MBA and in 2009 she received recognition from Costa Rican business newspaper, “El Financiero” as a country leader. The newspaper recognizes every year the top 40 country leaders under 40 years old.

Karla is a member of the Vital Voices in Costa Rica, which gathers the top country executive women as part of a mentor program for women from different business sectors. She also is responsible for engaging women in science and technology to create an awareness on the importance of educating girls and women to drive economic improvement in Costa Rica.
