Learn more about this situation and simple ways to help in our Zoom meeting on Tuesday, October 4th our PWNCR members Natalia Hidalgo and Gail Nystrom will host our Zoom meeting. They will talk about the current situation on this migration flow going through Costa Rica as well as the current situation for low-income resident migrants living in Costa Rica.
Gail Nystrom is the founder and director of the Costa Rican Humanitarian Foundation (CRHF), a non-profit organization committed to developing creative and economical solutions to a wide range of social problems in Costa Rica. She has helped a wide variety of refugees and migrants including the migrant flows from El Salvador and Nicaragua. And she is now taking part of the humanitarian response to face the increasing number of Venezuelan migrants going through Costa Rica.
Natalia Hidalgo Morillo is a Venezuelan internationalist who migrated to Costa Rica six years ago and who has volunteered to raise the voice in favor of refugees and migrants in Costa Rica and their needs concerning legal status and socioeconomic situation under the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Latin American Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CELIEM). She is currently the president of the Intercultural Association of Migrants.
