Professional Women’s Network of Costa Rica
2022 RECAP
Dear PWNCR Members and Friends,
This year has been so full of wonderful events and successes that we decided to combine our November and December Newsletters and turn them into an Annual Recap! Here is a summary of everything we did together as the Professional Women’s Network in 2022:
- 7 online events
- 5 in-person events
- 2 field trips
- 2 fundraisers
- Our 12th Anniversary Speed-Networking event
- Our 4th Annual Goods and Services Fair
- Our Holiday Party
In 2022 we started out with online events, which allowed us to continue to learn and network together during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, going back to in-person gatherings reminded us of the power of community and what it’s like to inspire each other face-to-face. We also organized two different field trips, where we learned lots of new things and spent much needed quality time with other members and their friends and family.
The Speed Networking event in July for our 12th anniversary was a lot of fun and allowed us to connect with other members and their business or services. Just last month at our 4th Annual Goods and Services Fair was a chance for us to open our doors to non-members and showcase our members’ products and services.
Now, as we prepare for our end-of-year Holiday Party, we can’t help but be grateful for a year that saw our Network become an official registered Association with legal books and bank accounts.
Last but certainly not least, PWNCR received recognition from the Rahab Foundation at their 25th anniversary event for our fundraising efforts.
As we look to another great year ahead, we would like to thank all of our members and followers for all that you bring to our Network. We couldn’t do it without you!

Social Responsibility Update
This year our fundraising efforts have benefited the Rahab Foundation. The Rahab Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization (NGO), founded in Costa Rica on November 12, 1997, with the mission of facilitating dignifying changes in the quality of life of individuals and families who are victims of human trafficking and of the sex trade. With your support, over $2,000 was raised for the Rahab Foundation through the PWNCR fundraising campaign!
Kudos to our Director of Social Responsibility, Natalia Hidalgo Morillo, for spearheading this successful effort.
We would like to give a special thanks to member Annia Chaves and the Microsoft Corporation for their matching donation which helped us to surpass our goals!
If you would like to donate additional funds to this organization, please send us a message.
