February Event: We All Have 24 Hours a Day
Dyalá Jiménez is a Costa Rican lawyer who holds a Master’s (LL.M) degree in International Law from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Her career has allowed her to work in France and Chile and she has held several public office roles in Costa Rica. She is frequently appointed as arbitrator in international treaty-based and contract-based disputes, for which she has been included in the list of Who’s Who of International Arbitration (2009-2011-2012) and Who’s Who of International Litigation (2011-2012). Ten years ago, Dyalá founded DJ Arbitraje, a boutique firm focused on commercial and investment dispute resolution. The firm began in Santiago, Chile, and now operates from San José, Costa Rica.
It comes as no surprise that Dyalá, like so many of us, was amazed by how Barack Obama, who had the same 24 hours a day as she did, was able to lead a country and, at the same time, spend time with his family and stay in shape. This made Dyalá realize: each of us can do a little bit each day if we decide how to fill those hours with meaningful activities instead of just going on “auto-pilot”.
At this event, Dyalá will cover the following topics:
If, like Dyalá, you think it sounds impossible, join us for this event to find out how she manages to do it all!
Entrance cost:
Exact change or SINPE Móvil is appreciated! Also, for non-members, you can become a member at this event!
Important Notes about this Event:
We will be meeting half an hour earlier than usual due to this being the Saturday after Valentine’s Day.
Please take note, this is a new location for a PWNCR – you will need to take special care to map it ahead of time to be sure you arrive at or before 9am for registration.
We encourage participants to carpool for this event as there is limited parking. Click here for the Google maps pin or look up Riverside Marketplace.
After the event, we will have the option to stay for an early lunch from 11am to 12pm – this a great networking opportunity with other members and friends of the PWNCR!
Note: we will not have coffee service included but instead coffee and tea (as well as other drinks) will be available to order from the restaurant before and during the event. We will also take lunch orders at the beginning of the event for those wishing to stay for a delicious lunch (to be paid individually). Click here for RIVERSIDE’s menu (Spanish only).
