About The Speaker
Vicki G. Ross is a public figure in Costa Rica. She recently became the first woman to preside over a male football (soccer) league, becoming president of UNAFUT after a historic unanimous decision from all the club presidents. She also ran for Vice President of Costa Rica with the social Democratic Party.
She has been in media for over 27 years and was the president of the Anna Ross Foundation for over 10 years, a non-profit dedicated to cancer in Costa Rica. She has also served as Academic Director of Advertising & Marketing programs in the Latin American University of Science and Technology (ULACIT) and International Relations professor at Universidad Nacional (UNA).
She has worked in broadcast media for over 27 years in television and radio, focusing mainly on politics and news.
Vicki Ross holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration and Business from ICAP, a B.Sc. in Mass Communication and Journalism with an emphasis on television production from Florida International University, a B.Sc., in Political Science from the University of Costa Rica and a Masters in Communication with an emphasis in Television Management from Universidad Complutense of Madrid. She also holds a post graduate degree as Project Manager from Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica. Her academic achievements include Kappa Tau Alpha National Honor Society in Journalism and Mass Communication, and the Golden Key International Honour Society.
Victoria is a Fellow of the tenth class of the Central America Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Her work for social causes includes working from her role as a member of the Rotary Club of San Jose, the Professional Women’s Network of Costa Rica, and as a member of the Advisory Board of the project Via Costarricense.

Ana Lucía Guerrero has always been passionate about languages. Growing up in Costa Rica, she started learning English at a young age and quickly developed a love for it. As she got older, she realized that she wanted to use her skills to help others communicate, so she decided to become a certified translator.
Since 1995, Ana has been working as a freelance certified official translator (English-Spanish) with the Costa Rican Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Her work has taken her all over the world, where she has used her language skills to bridge the gap between people from different cultures and backgrounds.
Over the years, Ana has gained ample experience in various fields, including management, accounting, legal, international development, political affairs, international relations, and sustainability. Her expertise has been invaluable in helping businesses and organizations communicate effectively with their partners and clients.
In addition to her work as a translator, Ana has an MBA from the University of Costa Rica and a BA in Tourism and Hotel Management. She has worked for the University for Peace in Costa Rica (2017-2020), the International Business Leaders’ Forum in London, England (2008-2009) and the United Nations´ Food and Agriculture Organization in Rome, Italy (2003-2007).
Ana’s proven ability to drive high marketing campaign response rates and customer loyalty from around the world is a testament to her strong communication and language skills. Her ability to communicate, network, and engage with a variety of audiences has made her a valuable asset to many businesses and organizations.
Aside from her professional work, Ana is also passionate about slow travel, responsible business, sustainable development, and women’s empowerment. She believes that everyone has a role to play in creating a better world, and she strives to make a positive impact in everything she does. Ana is a Certified Mentor for Vital Voices Costa Rica and has been PWNCR‘s Director of Communications since 2022.

The PWNCR wants to help our local communities in Costa Rica. Let’s work together to help other local women who are less fortunate than us
The Rahab Foundation is a local NGO that the PWNCR has worked with for many years. This Foundation helps save women who have been victims of sex trafficking. The foundation has an urgent need for financial support to supply food and to meet the needs of these women and their babies.
The PWNCR needs your help in collecting donations for them! For this we would like to invite you to an upcoming breakfast event to learn more about the Rahab Foundation. The event will take place on Friday, February 16th at 9:00 am at their facilities. They have parking space for up to 10 cars, so carpooling is encouraged. If you would like to confirm your attendance, please send us an email to giving@pwncr.com
