Hello and a happy new year from all of us at PWN. We wish you the fruition of your dreams and goals for 2018. We hope to be instrumental in helping you with your goals of building a new business, networking to expand your contacts, make new friends and provide you with some valuable tools to help you in your business endeavors.
In December we had a stimulating meeting with the guidance of Sara Basloe who lead us with exercises designed by Tony Robbins. We shared what we loved and what we didn’t love about 2017 and mapped out our hopes and dreams for 2018. It’s always a special meeting and we opened up in the safe environment to dig deep and share. Thank you Sara.

Professional Women´s Network
Paying It Forward.

We charge a small fee for the entrance of our monthly meetings. Thanks to the gracious hospitality of the Tin Jo restaurant we do not have to pay for the venue, only the beverages served.
Entrance fees and memberships enable us to make donations to women in business in Costa Rica and other countries.
The Rahab Foundation founded 25 years ago in Costa Rica focuses on the rescue of women in sex trafficking and rehabilitation of women in the sex trade. They provide not only training in new skills but fund these women and their children during the process with food, clothing, medical care, and day care for children and more. Once these women are trained in a new skill many go out into the work force as employees but many start their own businesses in cooking, computer work, sewing, and other skills.
PWN donated 500,000 colones to the Rahab foundation for a special program designed to help 5 women who are starting out on their own. They will be guided and monitored by the foundation in their quest to start a new life.

KIVA.
Many of you may have seen posts about the KIVA lendees on our Facebook page. https://www.kiva.org/ allows for small loans for people starting or growing their businesses. PWN focuses on women in Costa Rica to help the economy and support women in the country that we live in. Here are the links of the outstanding loans we have. Another loan was already repaid. Repaid funds go back into a KIVA fund and can be lent back out so the women we support in turn support other women.

Thank you for your support of PWN. We hope to bring in many more members and attendees to our meetings so we can continue to help others in their dreams and goals of creating businesses.
