APRIL 2023 UPDATE
Earlier this month we had a full house at Tin Jo for Katya De Luisa’s talk, “An Exploration of Dementia”. With love and kindness, Katya taught us how to identify the symptoms of dementia and the importance of heart-based communication and support for our loved ones.
After the talk, many of us stayed on for a delicious lunch and the opportunity to do some networking and connecting with other PWNCR members.

Defining Your Happiness with Elizabeth Seaward
Clinical psychologist Elizabeth Seaward will guide us in questioning our concept of happiness in order to build a more realistic understanding and opening up the possibility to create a practical approach to its construction.
Through this talk you will be working through the following definitions with Elizabeth:
- What is mental health?
- How does society define happiness?
- How does this definition affect my mental well-being?
- Defining my happiness
About the Speaker
Elizabeth Seaward is a clinical psychologist who is a specialist in suicidal conduct and addictions. She is also the president of ACEPS, the Asociación Costarricense para el Estudio y la Prevención del Suicidio (Costa Rican Association for the Study and Prevention of Suicide).

Ingrid Alvarado Fatjó
PWNCR newcomer Ingrid Alvarado Fatjó is a Graphic Designer, artist, and entrepreneur who creates prints on fabrics, inspired by her own paintings of biodiversity, wild species from Costa Rica, flora and abstracts. In addition, she can make anything related to the textile production, which she adapts to the needs and requirements of the client.
Ingrid studied Graphic Design at the University of Costa Rica. She worked for 5 years in the newspaper La Nación, one year in an advertising agency and then made the decision to become independent, so she founded ISAF Producciones, providing Graphic Design services. For 7 years she was editor of the Vive Magazine where she produced 45 issues covering topics of green living, health and wellness.Like many of us, Ingrid was forced to reinvent herself during the COVID-19 pandemic, so she decided to translate her creations into fabrics. She has found a passion for mixing painting and digital art, hence creating different types of items such as: silk scarves, tunics, picnic and beach blankets, bags, headbands and more.
Ingrid is also excited about her latest project, “EscapArte”, which consists of creating spaces where participants can be artists for a day, forgetting the stress of everyday life and sharing with friends and family in a pleasant place. This activity is geared towards companies that want to offer this space for recreation with art to their collaborators, to groups of clients, also with families, at parties, in restaurants, or wherever there is a need to unwind and have a little fun.
